Jason has over 20 years of experience providing tax compliance, planning, and consulting services to closely held businesses primarily in the real estate, service, manufacturing, retail, and distribution industry sectors. His clients mirror the dynamics of the Southern California marketplace, and he has served clients in all phases of the business cycle from young entrepreneurs to mature businesses that are executing an exit strategy. Jason focuses on how business decisions impact business owners and identifies planning opportunities up front to achieve tax savings, including tax credits/incentive programs, choice of entity, and accounting methods. Jason also has deep experience in providing tax planning and compliance services to high-net-worth individuals. He assists his clients with complex issues such as equity-based planning and small business stock exclusion, among others. Jason also has experience providing estate and trust planning and compliance services and works with his clients’ advisors to effectively implement wealth transfer plans. Throughout Jason’s career in public accounting, he has represented clients before the Internal Revenue Service, California Franchise Tax Board, and other government agencies.
Jason received a Master of Business Taxation from the University of Southern California and a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from the University of Arizona. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of California.
