David joined HCVT as the Regional Director for the firm’s Phoenix office. He is a highly experienced and accomplished executive and brings over 30 years of public accounting and private industry experience to HCVT. David began his career in public accounting at Arthur Andersen. He was the managing partner of an Arizona based regional CPA firm where he specialized in tax consulting, mergers and acquisitions consulting, and business valuations. David has extensive experience in providing financial, tax, accounting, and business related advice and services to a wide variety of medium to large closely-held businesses. He has led a number of mergers and acquisition transactions and was responsible for the entire deal cycle from due diligence procedures, structuring, negotiation, to a successful close.
David’s private industry experience is diverse and includes extensive experience in the real estate industry including serving as a managing member of residential land and commercial office development company. David understands the issues facing closely-held businesses, as he was the owner and president of an aggregate mining and ready-mix concrete company. This experience, coupled with his public accounting, and mergers & acquisitions consulting experience, allows David to provide a unique perspective to his clients.
David has held many board positions and is very experienced in addressing corporate governance issues. He has led numerous board committees including audit, compensation, strategy, and a mergers and acquisition committee.
Active in his community, David currently serves on the executive committee of MARC Community Resources, an Arizona-based nonprofit that provides employment training and semi-independent housing for adults with developmental disabilities. MARC serves approximately 9,400 individuals in the Phoenix metropolitan area.
In addition, David is a recent past Chairman of the Board of Directors and is the current Finance Committee Chair for Delta Dental Plan of Arizona, the State’s largest dental insurance provider.
