Tax

Ryan is currently a tax partner in the firm’s Pasadena office and specializes in the private equity sector, real estate developers, and other real estate related investors. His clients include opportunity funds, mortgage-REITs, homebuilders, real estate operators, and other real estate businesses.

Ryan has extensive experience addressing the structuring of private equity transactions, tax aspects of partnership agreement provisions, tax issues associated with distressed debt from creditor and debtor perspectives, and general REIT consulting and compliance.

Ryan received a bachelor’s degree in commerce from the University of Virgina and prior to joining HCVT, he began his public accounting career with KPMG spending approximately five years in the Orange County office and one year in the Seattle office.
